Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mrs. William Burden, A. M. (née Margaret Livingston Partridge) by Philip Alexius de László was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 47,880.00 (€ 41,447.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Alexius de László have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mrs Adrian van Montagu, née Anne Mabel Olivia Trouton in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 325,017.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mrs. William Burden, A. M. (née Margaret Livingston Partridge) von Philip Alexius de László kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 41.447,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Alexius de László auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mrs Adrian van Montagu, née Anne Mabel Olivia Trouton im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 325.017,81).
