Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Philip Alexius de László achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Mrs Frederick Lorenz Pratt, née Jeannie Jewett Williams sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,801.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Alexius de László have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mrs Adrian van Montagu, née Anne Mabel Olivia Trouton in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 325,017.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip Alexius de László erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Mrs Frederick Lorenz Pratt, née Jeannie Jewett Williams für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.801,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Alexius de László auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mrs Adrian van Montagu, née Anne Mabel Olivia Trouton im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 325.017,81).
