Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work To Your Scattered Bodies Go by Peter Coffin. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,619.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Coffin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pirate in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 140,276.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit To Your Scattered Bodies Go von Peter Coffin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.619,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Coffin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pirate im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 140.276,71).
