Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in London held the auction on paper | online, which included the work Untitled (Clouds) by Peter Coffin. The price achieved of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,269.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Coffin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pirate in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 140,276.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion on paper | online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Clouds) von Peter Coffin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.269,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Coffin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pirate im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 140.276,71).
