Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2013 Christies in London held the auction THINKING BIG, which included the work Untitled (Spiral Staircase) by Peter Coffin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,639.84), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Coffin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pirate in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 140,276.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion THINKING BIG durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Spiral Staircase) von Peter Coffin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.639,84) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Coffin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pirate im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 140.276,71).
