Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Campus could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work Traces of Memory changed hands for USD 600.00 (€ 448.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Campus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boundary; and Crossing, 1984, which sold at auction in December 2011 for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,156.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Campus konnte im März 2007 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wechselte die Arbeit Traces of Memory für USD 600,00 (€ 448,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Campus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boundary; and Crossing, 1984 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.156,25) versteigert wurde.
