Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Rupture by Peter Campus for USD 240.00 (€ 179.45). This price was achieved in the auction Saturday@Phillips at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Peter Campus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boundary; and Crossing, 1984 in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,156.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rupture von Peter Campus für USD 240,00 (€ 179,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Campus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boundary; and Crossing, 1984 im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.156,25).
