Despite a disappointment, a good price for Peter Campus
In December 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Boundary; and Crossing, 1984 by Peter Campus for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,156.25). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Boundary; and Crossing, 1984 is the most expensive artwork by Peter Campus that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Peter Campus
Im Dezember 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Boundary; and Crossing, 1984 von Peter Campus für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.156,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Boundary; and Crossing, 1984 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Peter Campus, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
