Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Evening Auction, which included the work Futurist Figure by Percy Wyndham Lewis. The price achieved of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 47,196.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Percy Wyndham Lewis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2000 the work Red portrait was auctioned for GBP 39,950.00 (€ 63,325.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Futurist Figure von Percy Wyndham Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 47.196,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Percy Wyndham Lewis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2000 die Arbeit Red portrait für GBP 39.950,00 (€ 63.325,67) versteigert.
