The work Dr Meyrick Booth by Percy Wyndham Lewis was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2019. The auction ended at the price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,816.44), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Percy Wyndham Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red portrait in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 39,950.00 (€ 63,325.67).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Dr Meyrick Booth von Percy Wyndham Lewis kam im April 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.816,44) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Percy Wyndham Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red portrait im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.950,00 (€ 63.325,67).
