In April 2019 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British & Irish Art, which included the work Woman Reading by Percy Wyndham Lewis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,903.45), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Wyndham Lewis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red portrait, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 39,950.00 (€ 63,325.67).

Im April 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman Reading von Percy Wyndham Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.903,45) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Wyndham Lewis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red portrait beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 39.950,00 (€ 63.325,67) versteigert wurde.
