However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Wyndham Lewis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red portrait, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 39,950.00 (€ 63,325.67).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.053,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Wyndham Lewis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red portrait beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 39.950,00 (€ 63.325,67) versteigert wurde.
