Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A.J.A. Symons by Percy Wyndham Lewis was sold in the Modern | British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in April 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,997.61). Admittedly, works by Percy Wyndham Lewis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red portrait in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 39,950.00 (€ 63,325.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A.J.A. Symons von Percy Wyndham Lewis wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.997,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Percy Wyndham Lewis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red portrait im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.950,00 (€ 63.325,67).
