Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Soledad Muda by Pedro Coronel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 52,920.00 (€ 43,398.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pedro Coronel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Año 1 luna in March this year with an auction result of USD 693,000.00 (€ 637,417.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Soledad Muda von Pedro Coronel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 43.398,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pedro Coronel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Año 1 luna im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 693.000,00 (€ 637.417,22).
