Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La palabra amorosa presencia by Pedro Coronel was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,900.00 (€ 77,380.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pedro Coronel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Año 1 luna in March this year with an auction result of USD 693,000.00 (€ 637,417.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La palabra amorosa presencia von Pedro Coronel wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 77.380,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pedro Coronel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Año 1 luna im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 693.000,00 (€ 637.417,22).
