In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work El Cántar De Oro by Pedro Coronel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,876.49), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pedro Coronel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Año 1 luna in March this year with an auction result of USD 693,000.00 (€ 637,417.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit El Cántar De Oro von Pedro Coronel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.876,49) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pedro Coronel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Año 1 luna im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 693.000,00 (€ 637.417,22).
