Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Russian Women by Pavel Chmaroff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2009. The price achieved of GBP 16,875.00 (€ 19,035.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavel Chmaroff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bathers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Russian Women von Pavel Chmaroff kam im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.875,00 (€ 19.035,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bathers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03) versteigert wurde.
