This artwork by Paul-Émile Pissarro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2021. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work La Mare Aux Biches, Lyons-La-Forêt sold for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,342.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul-Émile Pissarro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'église Saint-Denis, Lyons-la-forêt, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,741.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul-Émile Pissarro erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale wurde die Arbeit La Mare Aux Biches, Lyons-La-Forêt für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.342,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul-Émile Pissarro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'église Saint-Denis, Lyons-la-forêt beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.741,78) versteigert wurde.
