Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paula Scher achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April 2018. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work NYC Transit sold for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,317.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paula Scher; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Manhattan at Night sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,423.39).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paula Scher erzielte im April 2018 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit NYC Transit für USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.317,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paula Scher; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Manhattan at Night im April 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.423,39).
