Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Live Evil (Bucharest) by Paul Pfeiffer was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,637.65). Admittedly, works by Paul Pfeiffer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Race Riot in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 108,589.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Live Evil (Bucharest) von Paul Pfeiffer im März 2015 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.637,65) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Pfeiffer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Race Riot im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 108.589,10).
