Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Involucre by Paul Morrison was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in February 2008. The price achieved of GBP 13,700.00 (€ 17,919.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Morrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Protoplasm, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,200.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Involucre von Paul Morrison wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.700,00 (€ 17.919,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Morrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Protoplasm beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.200,36) versteigert wurde.
