Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Long Lake, Toward Evening, High Sierras by Paul Lauritz for USD 765.00 (€ 721.56). This price was achieved in the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lauritz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California valley with poppies and lupine in April last year with an auction result of USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,570.37).
