Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Long Lake, Toward Evening, High Sierras by Paul Lauritz for USD 765.00 (€ 721.56). This price was achieved in the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lauritz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California valley with poppies and lupine in April last year with an auction result of USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,570.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Long Lake, Toward Evening, High Sierras von Paul Lauritz für USD 765,00 (€ 721,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Lauritz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California valley with poppies and lupine im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.570,37).
