It achieved a price of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,405.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Paul Lauritz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work California valley with poppies and lupine in April last year with an auction result of USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,570.37).

Die Arbeit Chico Hills von Paul Lauritz wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.405,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Lauritz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit California valley with poppies and lupine im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.570,37).
