Auction result misses estimated price range

In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Sierras sheet 14 x 21 in. framed 23 3/4 x 30 3/4 in. by Paul Lauritz for USD 281.60 (€ 258.16). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lauritz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California valley with poppies and lupine in April last year with an auction result of USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,570.37).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sierras sheet 14 x 21 in. framed 23 3/4 x 30 3/4 in. von Paul Lauritz für USD 281,60 (€ 258,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Lauritz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California valley with poppies and lupine im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.570,37).
