Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Meadow in the Sierras 18 x 24 in. framed 26 x 32 in. by Paul Lauritz was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,096.00 (€ 3,755.04), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Lauritz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work California valley with poppies and lupine in April last year with an auction result of USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,570.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Meadow in the Sierras 18 x 24 in. framed 26 x 32 in. von Paul Lauritz wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.096,00 (€ 3.755,04) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Lauritz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit California valley with poppies and lupine im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.570,37).
