This artwork by Paul Lauritz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December last year. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work California Autumn 20 x 24 in. framed 27 x 31 in. sold for USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,130.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Lauritz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work California valley with poppies and lupine, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,570.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Lauritz erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit California Autumn 20 x 24 in. framed 27 x 31 in. für USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.130,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Lauritz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit California valley with poppies and lupine beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.570,37) versteigert wurde.
