Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bardame (Barmaid) by Paul Kleinschmidt was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 69,300.00 (€ 56,831.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Kleinschmidt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sängerinnen, which sold at auction in June 2011 for EUR 130,540.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bardame (Barmaid) von Paul Kleinschmidt wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 56.831,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Kleinschmidt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sängerinnen beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für EUR 130.540,00 versteigert wurde.
