Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'Elegante, 1950 by Pavel Chmaroff was sold in the Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in December 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,083.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pavel Chmaroff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bathers in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'Elegante, 1950 von Pavel Chmaroff wurde im Dezember 2006 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.083,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bathers im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03).
