Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rancher by Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,270.00 (€ 1,270.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shade of Black in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 212,332.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rancher von Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.270,00 (€ 1.270,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shade of Black im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 212.332,26).
