A top price for Ota Janecek - as previously expected
The work Stři´bra´k a ja´ : Andaluska´ elegie by Ota Janecek was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,752.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Stři´bra´k a ja´ : Andaluska´ elegie is the most expensive artwork by Ota Janecek that we have observed at auctions so far.
