Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Mesto v noci, la ville dans la nuit by Ota Janecek. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,582.46). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ota Janecek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stři´bra´k a ja´ : Andaluska´ elegie, which sold at auction in June 2016 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,752.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mesto v noci, la ville dans la nuit von Ota Janecek zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.582,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ota Janecek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stři´bra´k a ja´ : Andaluska´ elegie beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.752,65) versteigert wurde.
