Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Selvática-Insectívora (mugosa) by Oswaldo Vigas. The price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 68,288.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oswaldo Vigas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paraíso Inconcluso, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selvática-Insectívora (mugosa) von Oswaldo Vigas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 68.288,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67) versteigert wurde.
