Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Proyecto De Mural En La Universidad Central De Venezuela #4 by Oswaldo Vigas. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,635.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Vigas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraíso Inconcluso in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Proyecto De Mural En La Universidad Central De Venezuela #4 von Oswaldo Vigas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.635,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67).
