In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Cabeza paisaje no. 1 by Oswaldo Vigas. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,326.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Vigas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraíso Inconcluso in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cabeza paisaje no. 1 von Oswaldo Vigas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.326,33) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67).
