This artwork by Oscar Nemon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Bust Of Winston Churchill sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,594.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Oscar Nemon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Winston Churchill sold at auction in December 2010 with the realized price of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 51,561.87).
