In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Sir Winston Churchill by Oscar Nemon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,743.05), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Nemon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winston Churchill, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 44,450.00 (€ 51,561.87).

Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sir Winston Churchill von Oscar Nemon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.743,05) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Oscar Nemon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winston Churchill beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 44.450,00 (€ 51.561,87) versteigert wurde.
