Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Modernités, which included the work Paysage cosmique by Óscar Domínguez. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 252,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Óscar Domínguez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,488,826.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Modernités durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage cosmique von Óscar Domínguez zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 252.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Óscar Domínguez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.805.000,00 (€ 2.488.826,92).
