It achieved a price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,688.08), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ritual in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,780,000.00 (€ 2,522,914.97).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Vertical Organic Abstraction) von Norman Lewis wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.688,08) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ritual im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.780.000,00 (€ 2.522.914,97).
