Despite a disappointment, a good price for Noritoshi Hirakawa
This work of art by Noritoshi Hirakawa could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Part I and Part II auction, the work Virtue In Vice changed hands for USD 24,000.00 (€ 16,878.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Virtue In Vice is the most expensive artwork by Noritoshi Hirakawa that we have observed at auction so far.
