This artwork by Noritoshi Hirakawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March 2010. In the SEX Theme Sale auction, the work Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,315.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noritoshi Hirakawa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Virtue In Vice, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 24,000.00 (€ 16,878.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Noritoshi Hirakawa erzielte im März 2010 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion SEX Theme Sale wurde die Arbeit Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.315,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Noritoshi Hirakawa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Virtue In Vice beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 24.000,00 (€ 16.878,82) versteigert wurde.
