Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Crater) by Noriko Furunishi was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,206.14). Other works by Noriko Furunishi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2013 by the work Ice Park (D) at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,608.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Crater) von Noriko Furunishi im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.206,14) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Noriko Furunishi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2013 die Arbeit Ice Park (D) mit GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.608,53).
