Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset - The Castle Mount by Nicholas Roerich was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2017. The price achieved of EUR 62,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Roerich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Himself Came in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,756,500.00 (€ 2,459,554.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunset - The Castle Mount von Nicholas Roerich kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 62.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Roerich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Himself Came im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.756.500,00 (€ 2.459.554,43).
