Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Costume Design for a Polovtsian Warrior in Prince Igor by Nicholas Roerich. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,308.00 (€ 8,163.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Roerich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Himself Came in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,756,500.00 (€ 2,459,554.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Costume Design for a Polovtsian Warrior in Prince Igor von Nicholas Roerich zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.308,00 (€ 8.163,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Roerich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Himself Came im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.756.500,00 (€ 2.459.554,43).
