Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chamber in Sadko's Palace by Nicholas Roerich was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 62,133.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Roerich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Himself Came in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,756,500.00 (€ 2,459,554.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chamber in Sadko's Palace von Nicholas Roerich wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 62.133,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Roerich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Himself Came im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.756.500,00 (€ 2.459.554,43).
