Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work The Lesbian Project (3) by Nikki S. Lee. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,233.89), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nikki S. Lee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images, 1998-1999 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,209.13).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Lesbian Project (3) von Nikki S. Lee zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.233,89) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikki S. Lee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images, 1998-1999 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.209,13).
