Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Modernités, which included the work Nature morte au poelon by Nicolas de Staël. The price achieved of EUR 1,125,700.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Staël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 20,000,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Modernités durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature morte au poelon von Nicolas de Staël zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125.700,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Staël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000.000,00.
