Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints, which included the work Portrait Head #2; Portrait Head #3 by Nicola Tyson. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,654.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicola Tyson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure and Ploughed Field in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 42,081.64).
