Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nicola Tyson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September last year. In the New Now auction, the work Dog sold for USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicola Tyson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Figure and Ploughed Field sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 42,081.64).
