Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work To Edwin Booth by Nicholas Alden Brooks for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,069.60). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Nicholas Alden Brooks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Vase And Books in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 44,884.28).
