Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life With Violin, Bow And Sheet Music by Nicholas Alden Brooks was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 26,941.59). Other works by Nicholas Alden Brooks have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2006 by the work Still Life With Vase And Books at USD 57,600.00 (€ 44,884.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life With Violin, Bow And Sheet Music von Nicholas Alden Brooks im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
